Update!

We have had quite a few appts in the last week. Avery had her eyes checked and they told me she was far sighted and may need glasses down the road. Yesterday she got a new splint for her foot, since she outgrew the last one and she saw urology to have another pressure test done. This is where they fill her bladder with fluid and see how much pressure it can take before it starts to leak. The pressure was high which is not good. When the pressure is high this is when urine refluxes into the kidneys. They increased her ditropan to help relax the bladder and changed her antibiotic. They want to see her back in a month. This is when they will decide if she needs surgery or not. On a liter note we saw her occupational therapist this morning and she was very pleased at how much Avery is moving her legs and what she can feel. She is hopeful that Avery will crawl and walk with some assistance.

Swallow study was a success!

                                                First bite
                                                Enjoying it!
                                                     Where's the next bite?
                                                       Eating is exhausting

Yesterday Avery had a swallow study done to see how she would do with solids. She passed with flying colors. So of course I was ready to experiment a little with some cereal. Looking at the results she enjoyed herself.

A busy week ahead

Tomorrow starts a week full of appts. for miss Avery. Tomorrow at 9am we have Early On coming to our house to evaluate her, they will be working with her physical therapy and occupational therapy. They come to the house which is great and will come twice a week. At 10:45am I need to be at U of M to get Avery's splint replaced, she has grown out of the old one. Tuesday Avery is having a swallow study done at U of M, to see how she will do with starting solids. She still choke's a bit when she takes her bottle so they want to make sure she will be okay with food. Wednesday we have an appt with Titan's preschool and Thursday Avery see's the eye doctor to make sure her eyes are in good shape, by friday I'll need a vacation, hee hee     just kidding!!!!!

Back in Michigan and settling down!

This is my parents with all their grandkids. We don't get to do this to often.

                                         Gage and Avery hanging out

We made it back to Michigan on August 30th. Our flight was great and uneventful. The kids are back in school and we have a routine, which the kids seem to enjoy. As much as they hate having a bedtime they are much nicer to be around when on a schedule. Volleyball has started for Madi. I look forward to this year, being able to just think about the kids and not worry about my own studies.
